Ten hours in a car is a long time with a baby, but it was well worth it! Caroline experienced the beach for the first time, and she *loved* it! We weren't too shocked but still very pleased! She didn't hesitate at all and ran straight for the water. She also loved playing in the sand and even took a few bites just to see what it was like!
We spent three days at Onslow Beach in North Carolina. It rained one day, so we took the girl to the aquarium.
One of Aaron's friends from high school lives in Emerald Isle which was only about 30 minutes away. So, we went down there and spent a couple days with them. They have an awesome little girl (named Emily) who is six weeks older than Caroline. The girls had a great time playing together!
We also went to Raleigh to see Bethany and her husband, Michael. They have two beautiful little girls, Hailey, 5, and Harper, 1. We ended up staying an extra day just so we could hang out! It was so great to see them!
On the way home, Caroline finally figured out the best way to pass time in the car...sleeping. Although we are all exhausted, it was a great time, and we are already planning for next year!
