Here's Caroline ready for the day! Yes, it's June 29th. Yes, I had to work today, and it was the only way I could get out the door this morning!

I always knew this day would come, but I didn't think it would be so soon!

The Weekend.

Caroline spent her first night away from home this weekend! Here she is arriving at my mom's. As you can see, she was totally phased and freaking out:

As far as MY weekend, it was spent with my mother-in-law and my two sisters-in-law.

Pedicure? Check.

Full-Body Massage? Check.

Facial? Check.

Fantastic Dinner and Fabulous Dessert? Check.

Tomboy? Girly-Girl?

My phone rang at 8:15 this morning. It was my mom informing me that a digger had just arrived on her street, and their neighbors are going to be getting a new driveway today. We honestly didn't have any plans for the day, so we loaded up and headed over.

We watched the digger, the scooper, and the dump truck. Then, Caroline ran back to Grandma's house, and she wanted to get her dry erase board and markers. As we walked out of the garage, she decided she also needed her hat. (It's an Easter bonnet from the dollar bin at Target.)

She was wearing her bonnet and using the dry erase board. She turned around to look at my mom and me, and she had black marker all over her lips. She turned back around and kissed the board! I have no idea what she was doing; this is a first!

So, here she is sporting the bonnet and watching the diggers with black marker all over her face!

One Fish, Two Fish...

Caroline spent some quality time at the pool this weekend! It was quite fun! We started out in the baby pool. Bella got to go, too, and Dada called while we were playing! Then, we moved into the big pool, and the girl-with-no-fear, had no problem jumping right in, and wanted to do everything herself.

Then, we had watermelon. What? This isn't how you eat your watermelon???

More Bedding.

I'm still obsessing over this, and while there is a clear winner from your comments, I found one more choice to throw in the mix, and I thought I would tell you my thoughts. And ask you a few questions...

Choice 1.

Love: I really like the textures in this one, and I think it's really very sweet.
Question: Is it too grown-up? Is it too much of one color?

Choice 2.

Love: It's bright; it's cheery; and, everyone loves it.
Question: With green walls, will there be too much green? How will it look if I use a bright pink bedskirt to tie in the pink curtains?

Choice 3.

Love: I love that it's simple. I also like the yellow, but that it has both green and pink. I think it would help break up the green in her room and make the room seem bright.
Question: Why is that only my mom and I like this one?

Opinions Needed.

Since Caroline is now officially in the big girl bed and sleeping, she needs something other than a white fitted sheet on there! I am not the most decisive person in the world (chalk it up to being a Libra...I don't know much about astrology, and I don't believe some of what I do know!)

After a bad experience with a set that I thought I was getting a great deal on, I'm starting over. I would like your feedback. I don't know if I'll use it, but I love to hear other people's opinions, and it helps me think! I don't actually know what I want, and I realize many of these are similar. Also remember, if you've been to my house before, that Caroline's walls are a spring green and there is white and pink stripe that runs around the entire room.

Sorry about that the pictures are different sizes...it's driving me crazy, but I can't fix it. The pictures are from various sites, and they all uploaded differently.

OK, that sounds much meaner than I want it to be!

But, the point is that, Caroline was wide awake last night when it was time for bed. Although, she was telling me she was tired. I braced myself for a fight, and I took her upstairs and put her in her bed. She cried (a little,) and I told her I loved her and that it was time to sleep. I shut her door, and she was trying to open it, and she continued crying for about 5 minutes. Then the crying stopped!

When I went to check on her before I went to bed, and she was IN HER BED and ASLEEP!
