Check Up.

We went for Caroline's second year check-up. As you know, we've had an eventful week, so the doctor checked her stitches (they're fine and healing perfectly) and said that she didn't think that Caroline suffered any injuries from her car accident.

Most importantly, here are her stats:
Weight: 35 lbs., 14 oz. (+97th%ile...shocking)
Height: 37 inches (+97th%ile...again, shocking)
Head Circumference: 19.25 inches (80th%ile)

Blog Updates.

Two major changes:

1. I changed the background to match the theme of Caroline's birthday party this weekend.

2. I've removed the clock that displayed the "time on the other side of the world." I don't need it anymore.

My Goal was 2.

Well, one of my long-time goals has not been reached. Just 6 short days from her birthday, my baby had to get stitches. Whenever she is playing and being rough and tumbly, I always jokingly say, "Caroline, no stitches until you're two!"

Caroline picked up one of Molly's glass bowls when we were out at Grammy's (or is it Mimi?) house, and she dropped it on the tile floor. It broke into a million little pieces, and I instantly saw blood. By the time I could get a good look, there was so much blood, I couldn't really see anything.

So, we loaded up the car and headed to Children's Close-to-Home. Again. Of course, Caroline was crying, and I asked her if she wanted music, and she said yes. Ironically, when we turned on the radio, "Keep Bleeding" by Leona Lewis was playing. It was slightly funny.

Once we got checked in and triaged, Caroline had to get x-rays to make sure there wasn't any glass remaining in her hand. In her words, "hand say cheese."
You can see the injury if you really know where you're looking. Look at the bottom of her pointer finger where it meets her hand. When she was cleared, they came to stitch her up. She did *really* well. She cried, but she was really still. The whole time she was announcing, "I'm done. I'm done." Six stitches and a pink popsicle later, we were done and headed home!
