Caroline's favorite animal is the duck. She can pick ducks out in any book she reads and she knows what a duck says. We stopped by one of our favorite little kids' stores today to buy a fall jacket, and there was a sale table sitting outside. Tucked in behind several other stuffed animals (like E.T.) was this duck, and Caroline started saying, "Duck! Duck! Duck!" So, I handed it to her, and she immediately put it up to her face and hugged it. I *had* to buy it for her!

Connor scored himself a blue monkey the same way. It is super funny when he tries to make the sign for monkey...he ends up flailing his arms all over and then patting his belly.
