Location at 9:30pm: Asleep in her rocking chair; Mama was too scared to take a picture, but it was really cute. I did feel a little bit sorry for her, though. I called my mom who said just to leave her there!
Location at 5:30am: Asleep on the floor as evidenced below.

Summary: So, I wouldn't say that she slept in her bed, but she did sleep through the night! I count that as a small victory. On the other hand, I did not sleep through the night because I kept waking up worrying about her and making sure that she wasn't crying.

I didn't sleep well when we first let Connor sleep in his new bed, either. I was sure that he was up and playing around the house. We basically lock him upstairs with the gate, and then put a door knob cover on the bathroom door. It turns out that the sound of him turning the door knob on his door wakes me right up, though!
Good luck - I hope she gets the hang of it soon!
You let her CIO???
I'm calling CPS.
Don't worry you are not a mommy monster. Get a gate at the top of the stairs, do what Julie did to the door knobs of the rooms in question for safety and go to sleep! You WILL hear her if she toddles around up there. Chances are with no other options she'll come into your room anyway. This too shall pass Em.
